FOR SALE: "BP Bea Attitude ", 2005 Arabian x Spanish Mustang (Pony)
(7-20-09) $1100 w/registration. Price increasing as her under-saddle training continues.
Updated July, 2009 (new videos & photos)- Bea is now cantering under saddle (see latest videos). She is still green broke and not ready for a beginner owner/rider but she has been as sweet as can be, quiet, and very tolerating.
She is being lunge 1-2 days per week over cavaletti and in side reins, has been being ponied out on trails at Raven Rock state park in full tack.
Though she was raised with kids (see pics below) it has been a while since she has been around small/young kids. Recently she was 'exposed' to a group of 8 year old beginners, and Bea showed some conern at the general chaos of being groomed by a group of kids, so she isn't quite ready to be a school pony. :) But other wise she is as good natured and accepting of her work as she can be.
BP Bea Attitude (Bea) was bred and foaled on this property, and handled extensively since birth. We are friends with the sire's owner, who now resides in Virginia, and we still own her dam.
Bea does not have many arabian traits - she does not have a lot of knee/hock action. She is not 'floaty'. She does not easily flag her tail (only when VERY excited). She does not have a pogo-spring canter, and she is not 'hot'.
These videos are from April '08 - July '09.

Bea has been lightly started lunging with saddle & snaffle bridle. Doing well with voice commands for all gaits, and showing little response to light weight on her back. Doing well with ground work/desensitizing. I would not sell her to a 'grandchild' type home - she is not bombproof nor dead headed enough to be trusted around small inexperienced children. However, my 15 year old son handles her (has since birth howevr). She'd probably be a good 4H project for a child of that age of intermediate level experience under the guidance of a trainer (a green pony is still a green pony - and I am very safety minded when it comes to children). Bea is very interested in her surroundings, and so far is eager to participate in 'school'.
